Hello,

I have alot to learn in regards to Citrix, so in trying to setup the Access suite console to create reports i get the following error: (FYI ver. MF ver4 enterprise)

Cannot check that the database is a valid Resource Manager Summary database. The following error occurred: The .Net Framework provider for OLEDB (System data OleDb) Does not support the Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC drivers (MSDASQL) use the .Net Framework provider for ODBC (System Data odbc)

What I tried to do is what the error told me to do. I downloaded and installed the .Net Framework provider for ODBC. But the problem is it does not show up as a list in the provider section when setting up the specification.

I am able to get the connection to the DB server through the Presentation Server reporting part, just not through Access Console. I would like to get it to work, becuase the detail in the reports looks much nicer.

I've tried googling the error, w/ not help. If someone knows what to do, please reply. I appreciate any advice anyone can give.

Thanks in advance,
Mark

In the "Data Link Properties" page, if you are using SQL for your database, you need to select "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server" rather than the default option of "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers".

In the Citrix Access management Console, select Report Center, type in a name for the connection to your "rmsummarydatabase" server. Select the "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server" and not the SQL Native Client which is what I had tried to use. Enter the Username and Password to access to your Resource Manager DataBase (Summary Database - one and the same) and you should then be able to start running reports.
