have a server that is the ts licencing server.
it has user cals and device cals installed

i want to get rid of the device cals.

is my option to deactivate the server. and then reinstall the user cals?
does deactivating the server - delete the lics or will they still be there when i reactivate

You will need to call the MS clearinghouse to free up the licenses.
