All,

We have several facilities that have the home drive mapped with different drives u,m and n.

What would be a universal script in mapping home drives regardless of their drive letter?

Any advise would be appreciated.

Are you saying the drive letter changes based on the phisical location of where the user logs on?

I usually set the Home Folder & TS Home Folder + Drive Letters via the user account and let it create the users directory by specifying \\ServerName\%UserName%..

Via script one can set the home folder and drive letter via:

net use \\ServerName\%UserName% /home (or vbscript equivalent)

These can also be set via GPO.

Please be more specific to the requirement so we know what you need.

We are currently using SAP and is being implemented globally.

our uk sites have some TS special apps.

They also have their home drive mappings all over the place with drive letters.

In the US we use U for home drives and in the UK the home drive letters vary (u, m and n).

We want to use a generalized script that will incorporate these drive letters as Home drive.

SAP copies files into their home drive. We are using dfs of their data prof and home drives to speed up login speeds.

any advice regarding this situation will be helpful.

I won't likely be of any help, but I do have a question. Do you intend to simply use the phone line in the same way that a high-speed internet connection does, or do you want an acoustic command system that goes through an actual telephone handset?  http://www.zigbee.eu/
