Hello,

We have many employees using Dual Monitors with Citrix XenApp (PS 4.0) and i get a lot of complaints about applications that open in the center of the 2 screens.  I have looked at many forum posts related to the issue but cannot resolve this problem.  As far as I know we have all the minimum requirements (R04 on the servers, and client edition is 11.0+).

Even the Citrix logon status screen goes right to the middle so i know it's not just certain applications.  What I am loooking for is for EVERY seamless app that is launched from Web Interface to open on the PRIMARY monitor.  Users can then move them to a secondary monitor if they want, but the initial launch would be on the primary.

The forum posts I have read all talk about certain registry edits but either they are wrong or I am doing something wrong.  What are the correct values to use to achieve what I am looking for?

The registry values I have been using are:

HKLM\Software\Citrix\CtxHook\AppInit_Dlls\Multiple Monitor Hook\

DefaultHooks (REG_DWORD)
DefaultLaunchMonitor (REG_DWORD)

Thanks very much

Bit of a long shot (well, a lot of a long shot!), but I wondered if you went to the latest rollup pack and Citrix 11.2 client, whether that would help.

There are already threads on the latest rollup (R06) for PS4, but I would recommend EXTREME caution with it.  I've had nothing but a bad experience with it.  And with PS4 being end-of-life, you may find getting help with it rather troublesome.

Why is it called "Common Sense"? It doesn't seem all that common!

True, R06 is a nightmare apparently.  'SE' is on R04, so maybe R05 plus patches may be worthwhile.

ok... I've got a test server running XenApp 5 for Windows 2003.  What are the settings necessary to not have apps going to the middle of my 2 monitors?  By default it seems I am getting the same functionality as PS4.0

Thanks
