Has anyone had any success using Aladdin eToken USB smartcards or Verisign smartcards (which are rebadged Aladdin smartcards) to encrypt email via Outlook running on Citrix?
We're not using the smartcard for authentication. We just want to use the user certificate located on the token to sign and encrypt email. Works fine when running it over RDP but when running over ICA the Outlook client just locks up when it needs to access the token.
According to Aladdin their drivers are compatible with Citrix but they haven't been much help in resolving this problem for us.

For those interested, it turns out it was an issue with scardhook.dll causing a thread contention. Citrix have provided a private fix that will eventually be incorporated into a hotfix.

I have used Aladdin Etoken to encrypt/decrypt outlook emails without a problem, only have to do is install de Etoken PKI Client on Citrix XenApp server. I also integrate Etoken with other solutions like PGP Desktop but in this scenario. dont recognize Etoken Certificate. I think that is because Etoken maps like an USB device and PGP cannot sees like a smartcard into a Citrix/TS session.
