We have a 45, Windows 2000, Citrix Metaframe XPe terminal servers for an application called Logician. Starting 3/1, out of 1500 users around 30 are getting dumped out of the application. This error message is in the event log:

ml.exe - Application Error : The instruction at "0x610e0c4c" referenced memory at "0x5d315b71". The memory could not be "written".

It's not the same users all the time. A good portion of the servers show this error. This is happening at numerous sites, we have over 200. Most of these servers have been in production for over a year.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have seen that before, the logitec software driver has an issue, update it.

This application is called Logician and is used in Hospital clinics. I don't have any Logitec drivers on this server. Thanks though.

We are seeing a similar error with faulting module ml.exe. This is a PS 4.0 Farm on server 2003. When the application crashes, the users are dumped and perceive the problem to be a network disconnect. If anyone has seen this or has any info, it would be much appreciated.

This may seem weird, but is there any DVD buring or creation software on the server?

We have the same issue as well. No cd burning software installed. Have tried most everything and still the errors continue. It doesn't appear to always kill the session when the error happens though. I have a current open case open with GE - but nothing solid yet. They are pointing to permission issues - but that all appears to all be in order. For those having the issue - it would be great to compare configs and what troubleshooting you have tried. Thanks.

We have a similar situation at my company. We have 11 Citrix servers running EMR 2005 and are seeing these ML.EXE errors on our monitoring software EdgeSite. GE has acknowledged the problem, but has looked every where on the Farm, WAN, etc saying their application is running fine.

I'd be happy to share our environment.

We are on PS 4.0 on Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition with 16GB RAM on each server.

Chime in if you have had any success resolving the problem.
