Hi all,
Currently we are running a CPS 4.5 farm with 15 servers. There are about a half a dozen administrators who have full access to the farm. We want to turn on configuration logging, which is no big deal I know. Is there a general formula to get an idea of how much space is needed for the database? If we expect to make 10 changes a day how much space will we need? Is it like 20KB/change or something like that? I'm not looking for perfect, just a starting point. Thanks.

Hi Steve,

We've been running configuration logs for a while and they're relatively tiny (under 20 MB so far). Your guess is probably not that far off the mark.

Cool Rick,
Thanks for the info. I just requested a db that can grow up to 2GB. That should be fine. If it never gets more thatn 20 or 30 GB it won't be hurting anyone anyway.

Thanks a lot
Steve
