Hello @ all,
I hope you can perhaps help me. The situation: There are multiple servers with Win2K3 / CPS 4.5. This version has been since the beginning of April after Rollout. Now, several problems are piling up, where a problem in my eyes is worse:
An up to 11 of 16 server crashes the Print-Manager. This does not happen at fixed times of the day or for certain work / processes. I found in the Eventlog the entry 1104:
The description for Event ID (1104) in Source (MetaFrame events) can not be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the / AUXSOURCE = flag to retrieve this description, see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: PC004993; Orbis PDF Writer (PC004993) meeting: 3; AMYUNI PDF Converter 2.09.
For research on the Web, I met so far in the documents:
-- Http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX105385 -- http://support.citrix.com/forums/thread.jspa?forumID=62&threadID=70511&messageID=418668&
Did someone perhaps even tips on how to proceed, I could ..? I would advise every small help ... If you still need it should, odeer have any further questions you should ask simple ...
Thank you in advance ever ...
Regards Torben

I'd take a look at the following list and see if you have any of the print drivers in your farm:

Those could be causing your spooler crashes. I can't speak about the Orbis PDF Writer but I'd first start with the HP list since that seems to be a big source of headaches. You might also want to set your print spooler service to restart in the recovery tab under properties. That won't solve your problem but it well you from having to connect to the server and restart the spooler.
If you want to try to track down the problematic print driver, use the Stress Printers tool:
http://support.citrix.com/article/ctx109374
Run the tool and try it for each print driver until you find one that crashes your spooler. Deal with the driver as you wish once you find it.
