Hi All,
we are facing one strange issue in our CITRIX farm.
Farm Detils,
in our farm all servers are running with CPS4.0 windows 2000 standard edition and datastore we are using SQL server.
Issue:
when we reboot one server in the farm imediately other servers are disconnecting from network and we are getting following error message
Error - IMA_RESULT_DBCONNECT_FAILURE
please help on this as early as possible.
thanks, Obulesu

Anyone else see this. I'm getting a similar on PS4.0 on Win 2003 SP2. On EVERY server reboot, the IMA service fails to start with the error IMA_RESULT_DBCONNECT_FAILURE. If I give the server a couple of minutes, I can easily restart the service and all is well. We're using Oracle and I'm wondering if maybe the IMA service is trying to connect before the network or some other dependency has started.
Thanks

Hi,
Dumb question, but where is your datastore. If it's an Access datstore hosted on that one server, then the other servers in the farm will most certainly lose connectivity with the datastore when that server gets rebooted.
The "fix" for this issue that I would highly recommend is to put the datastore on a non-Citrix server (file/print, domain controller etc) in your environment. Otherwise if that one Citrix server with the datastore ever dies, you're dead.
SQL 2005 Express, combined with the SQL Server management studio express is a perfectly good way to do this.
