Hello, we are running XP FR3 SP4 on W2K SP4 (Migrating soon!) recently all the users on one server are not getting our domain as the default domain, they are getting the log in locally to server selected when they log in. Is there a way to change this so that it is hardcoded to our domain? They are logging into a shared desktop with the ICA client.
Thanks Matt

Has an admin logged on locally to the server console recently?
This used to happen in our environment if an admin did the same, to clear just logon to the server console with a domain account.

Open Regedit,
go to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
If your Domainname is not set in - AltDefaultDomainName - DefaultDomainVerlag Set the entries and let your users connect.
If the Domainname is allready set there, there is maybe a problem connecting to AD.
But I've heard several times, that this settings where changed sometimes, when an administrator logs on locally to the server console.
Hardware is evil and Software is mean!

Set this value to the right domain:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\DefaultDomainName

Try checking:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]DefaultDomainName

Did you login using RDP Client 6.x recently? When using V6 Client to connect to console session (mstsc /console) do not enter you username in the UPN format domain\user as this will cause the default domain to change to the local host. Also tell you users to use the FQN to log in eg user@domain.net
