Will CPS 4.5 interoperate in a CPS 4.0 farm?
I'm also a little reluctant to install new CPS 4.0 farms now as I suspect an in-place upgrade to CPS 4.5 may not be difficult, but still may not be very tidy. For instance, what happens to existing application environments when the AIE gets upgraded? Will each AIE "package" have a migration path to gain the new benefits of the re-worked engine? Will the in-place upgrade also upgrade ICA client to version 10?
Thanks for the video - despite all my questions, it has saved me hours of lab work in getting caught up.

I loved the RTFM comment.  The CMC is terrible!!!

The split personality of the mangement interface - not sure there is any real excuse for that.  I would be asking Citrix what programming resources have been assigned to the mangement interface over the past 12 months.  Perhaps a couple of dudes only by the sound of it.  Anyhow I noticed that Brian didn't use the middle pane of the mmc management interface .... I don't either.  I have looked for a way to get rid of the middle pane a few times in the past but haven't been sucessful ... maybe I haven't looked hard enough.  A personal opinion .... a good user interface achieves efficient functionality by being simple and clean.  The mmc management interface reminds me of a cluttered public notice board outside the local supermarket.  What is wrong with having the objects on the left, right-clicking them to see what properties or tasks are available & seeing the details on the right side ... get rid of everything else !
