Show Logistics

Like a number of others out there posting on the Internet, I have to agree that the show logistics could use a lot of improvement.  The breakdown seemed to occur in queue management.  I can't count how many times I thought I was in the line for those registered only to find out I was in the line for the unregistered.  In a few cases, it seemed as if people were going to rush the door and bypass all those nice folks scanning badges and handing out session evaluation forms.  Better signage, more line dividers, etc would make for better queue mgmt.

Another area that could use improvment is sessions scheduling.  If a session proves to be very popular - as indicated by number of those pre-registered - maybe it should be run more than once.  There were a few sessions that were booked full so I had to choose others.  Also, don't put your main troubleshooting sessions on the last day.  I went to VMWorld in lieu of training.  It would have been nice to maximize the "training" aspect if the troubleshooting sessions were held earlier.  In particular, I am referring to the VMWare Top 10 Support call sessions.  These were held in the afternoon of the last day, while I was heading off to the airport.
