How does NetScaler fit into an Application Delivery world? from BriForum Europe 2007

This is a video of a breakout session from BriForum Europe 2007, presented by Rick Dehlinger.

Session Description: When Citrix acquired NetScaler in June 2005, industry analysts praised the sale—some "experts" even went so far as to recommend that all Citrix customers consider buying a NetScaler. But for many IT groups, Citrix buying a network load balancer didn’t seem to make much sense.

Many long time Citrix technologists wonder about the relevance of NetScaler in our application-delivery world. How does it help deliver applications? How does it work? Why should we care?

This session will explore these questions, examine where/when this type of technology fits. and where it falls short, in our world of application delivery infrastructure. We will also walk through the creation, configuration, and testing of a load balanced and accelerated Web Interface system.
