During today's Brian and Gabe Live, Jack took a few moments to talk about mobile device management.

This is an excerpt from the larger program.

Note from Jack: In this segment, I mentioned a solution that allows users (but not IT admins) to remote-wipe their devices. I mistakenly thought the vendor that I was thinking of was Nukona, but actually I was thinking of Enterproid Divide.

Good Technology is an email "container", not MDM software. At BoxTone we are a platform that agentlessly manage iOS, BlackBerry and Android devices along with Good software. Since we manage QoS as well as devices, BoxTone customers proactively knew when the Good infrastructure went down.

Finally, Mocana is also a container/ security wrapper with the MAP product they have. It is offered as part of the BoxTone solution.

It's hard to tell listeners what is best from all MDM vendors. There are certain niches to each provider that might make more sense for a specific business model. One key feature is whether the corporation is looking for a Cloud based MDM approach or not.
