Now that you've designed your application strategy, you need to think about how to size the servers that run your applications. MetaFrame XP server sizing involves three basic steps:
- Understand how server sizing works in MetaFrame XP environments.
- Create your server sizing strategy.
- Test your server sizing strategy.
In this chapter, we'll look at the various elements affecting the performance of MetaFrame XP servers. Then we'll examine various real-world server sizing strategies so that you can create your own strategy. Lastly we'll explore the different methods that can be used to test your strategy.
