I got home today from Briforum and started to play catch up on news that I may have missed while I was gone at Briforum, and I came across this one from ZD Net Australia . I'm surprised I didn't hear anyone mention anything about what appears to be a in development ICA client for the iPhone. Does anyone know anything more about this?...(read more)

Live Mesh Sign Up?

This afternoon Nelly Porter gave a presentation on Microsoft Graphics Remoting: Now, Next and Beyond , and she showed Microsoft's new Live Mesh Project tech preview towards the end. Live Mesh looks really awesome and really reminds me of Apple's iDisk and Back To my Mac (scroll to the bottom). Nelly mentioned that Microsoft's beta was open to public, and hat if we mentioned that we saw the preview at Briforum, it would enable us to be on the beta list for Live Mesh. These new headphones are awesome...

So I was the one that won the wireless headphones after Brian called like 10 names. I was all excited to read on the box that they weren't bluetooth, but used their own transmitter so I could use it on my iPod. I got to the airport, get through security, find a seat with an outlet and rip open the box so I can charge the headphones. Guess what. European power adapter baby. It really was leftover from the Netherlands Briforum! Well, hopefully my power converter I have at home goes from EU to US...(read more)

Encountered many individuals experiencing WLAN issues. Might have something to do with the numerous ad-hoc networks broadcasting and potentially interfering with the BriForum access points. If you have an ad-hoc network enabled, please disable it. If it is broadcasting on the same frequency (and channel) as the access points, it could be interfering with BriForum WLAN connectivity....(read more)

This year's BriForum has the most attendees ever

As of 3:10 this afternoon, we have 440 people coming to BriForum, making it a fair amount bigger than last year's event with 400 people. This is pretty cool for us, especially considering that event attendance in general is really down this year due to the economy. (Citrix's Synergy event only had 2000 people instead of 4000, although that could be because they changed the name, date, AND location!)...(read more)
