Citrix lost another CTP this week, although this time it wasn't to Provision Networks. Gus Pinto (Citrix CTP and Microsoft MVP) and Rich Crusco (MVP) will join Citrix as Technology Evangelists. According to Citrix blogger Chris Fleck, the two will focus full time supporting and growing the Citrix ecosystem. Amazingly this will be the first time that a Microsoft MVP has ever worked for Citrix (although several ex-Citrites are MVPs.)

The most immediate change is that a "Citrix Communities" bar has magically appeared across the top of Gus and Rich's site, Frameworkx.com. We'll see what happens next.

In other news, Citrix has some openings in their CTP program. :) Contact Brad Nunn if you'd like to nominate someone.

They have one of nicest sites in the community, very useful as well. I only hope they keep it that way.

Now - What one has to do to become a CTP or what are the program requirements?

CTPs & MVPs are selected by Citrix and Microsoft (respectively), or are nominated by current awardees.

Elaborating a bit more on Patrick's comments, I would add that a CTP and/or MVP have distinguished qualities, not really hard to deffine, just look at stuff people like Patrick himself, Brian, Doug, Gus and others have done for the community.

Writting books, blogs, articles, podcasts, presentations, tools, etc....

I hope this gives a better understanding on a high level qualification for an MVP or CTP award.

On a site note. Contratulations to Gus and Rich, two really outstanding guys.

Paul Valencia
