BriForum Europe 2006 is quickly approaching. I want to remind anyone who wants to speak that you needs to get your submissions into us by Monday (July 31).
We'll notify all of the speakers which sessions were accepted on August 15. The conference itself takes place from October 4-6, 2006, at the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics in Darmstadt, Germany.
I'm really starting to get excited about this conference. So far we've received about 30 session proposals, and some of them look really amazing. I think that you'll see that with this conference, we're really focusing on application delivery in general, so people will be talking about virtualization and streaming (and what's real and what's hype) in addition to pure server-based computing topics. As always, though, BriForum will focus on real-world and practical stuff that's meaningful and useful today.
Registration for BriForum is also open. The early-bird discount of €200 ends on Monday, after which the price moves from €495 to €695.
Remember that if you cannot attend, we're going to record the sessions with the same cool video technology that we used at BriForum 2006 in the US, and DVD sets will be available after the conference for $450 (€350). Of course BriForum Europe attendees will get online access to all the videos, as will people who attended BriForum in the US this past April. (BriForum Europe attendees will also get online access to all of the videos from BriForum 2007 in the US.)
