DAT Group announced they're changing their name to Synchronica. Who's DAT? They are a software company who wrote a product called Panther that competes with Citrix Presentation Server. I wrote about Panther in my server-based computing software roundup last year.
To be honest, DAT really isn't that relevant in the server-based computing space anymore. They didn't really focus too much on Panther recently, and in fact if you look at their current product list, everything they mention is about mobile device synchronization. (The name change, by the way, is perfect for what they focus on now.)
So with that, I think we can officially stop following DAT in our segment of the IT industry.
