BriForum 2005 Session Videos: A new one posted every week through BriForum 2006

It's been just over six months since BriForum 2005, our independent technical server-based computing conference. BriForum was awesome, but one of the problems with it was that only about 250 people were able to come, and our website gets hundreds of thousands of visitors every month.

Therefore we've decided to release all of the BriForum 2005 content for free to anyone who wants it. The way we'll do it is this:

Each Monday we'll release a new technical breakout session from BriForum 2005. Most of the sessions are about an hour long. We'll release a WMV-formatted video (typcially 60-70MB), an MP3 of the session's audio content (12-15MB), and a copy of the PowerPoint slides or any other supporting material.

Of course watching a video or listening to the audio can't substitute for actually being there, but hopefully you'll find this more helpful than just looking at random PowerPoint slide decks.

These videos are 320x240 resolution--good enough to see what's going on but not really good enough to read the content off the screens. If you want higher quality video (or if you want all the sessions now instead of waiting six months), then you can buy a conference DVD. (Also remember that if you attended BriForum, you can download all of this content immediately by logging in to BriForum.com.)

BriForum 2006 Details

If you haven't seen yet, I want to point out that we have now posted details about BriForum 2006. It will be three days, April 10-12, 2006, in downtown Washington DC. This year's event will be the best ever, with more hands-on content, more interactive sessions, more days, more presenters, and more topics. Details are available at BriForum.com and registration is now open.

Any chance you will make them POD cast? I love listening to them in the car.

Keep up the great work!

Many of us can't even afford to attend, so this is very generous of you all.
Please make the next one about fixing printing in PS 4.0!!
:) :) :)

Remember that BriForum 2005 occured two months before PS4 was released, so we didn't even know that it would be broken when these sessions were recorded.

CPS4 Printing should be stable now, with CTX107444 for 2k3 and the CTX107714 for 2k.
When the needed rights for the Ctx_SmaUser are not set 100% correct, issues do occur so try not to fiddle with that account. if you did, check out CTX107137.
Can you be more precise on what currently goes wrong with your cps4 printing?
