Citrix announced yesterday that Andreas von Blottnitz, the head of Citrix Online, will be leaving the company on August 1. SVP of sales for Citrix Online, Brett Caine, will take over.
Von Blottnitz is best known for launching AOL Germany in the mid 1990s, and he joined Experticity (the company Citrix bought that became Citrix Online) in 1999.
No word yet as to the reasons behind the departure. It's usually rare for a CEO of an acquired company to stay on beyond the integration period, so von Blottnitz's departure is not too much of a surprise.
