A lot of people have emailed me questions about different
things, so I figured that I'd start answering them via the web instead of
one-by-one via email. This FAQ addresses using wireless devices with Citrix and
Terminal Server.
Q: Can I use a Blackberry with Citrix / Terminal Server?
A: This depends on how you want to use it. Yes, you can synchronize a
Blackberry plugged into the serial port of an RDP or ICA client device with
Outlook running on a Terminal Server. No, there is no ICA or RDP client for
Blackberries that allow them to run Terminal Server sessions.
Q: Is Verizon's Express Network fast enough for Citrix or Terminal
Server?
A: Yes. I personally use a Verizon Express Network card with RDP 5.2
connecting to Terminal Server Windows Server 2003 almost every day. The
performance is great.
Q: Are there any versions of the ICA client for mobile phones?
A: Yes, some mobile phones are supported by Citrix for access to ICA
applications.
Do you have a question about server-based computing wireless device that's
not listed here? If you've read the stuff on my site and you still can't find
the anser, send me your question and
I'll post the answer here.
