Nice job on this one. My only complaint is that you diminish Tim and Ron by adding Steig to your list of people interviewed. He represents the worst element in our industry - someone who simply sucks off the hard work of others by issuing law suits that will never stand up in the court of law. As you put it, the first time we all heard of his company is when he put out a press release saying he was suing the other players in the field. Hm... nice PR stunt.

Steigs background may not be admired by the wider Tadpole Technology Group shareholders but should the patent infrigement case set against Softricty, Exent and Appstream fall Stream Theory's way then that puts the company and Steig in a pretty powerful position don't you think.....

Sadly, Mr Westerberg is all too familiar to Tadpole Technology PLC shareholders. To quote his statement, available in the public domain, they are still waiting for the best to come knowing it is never now going to happen.
 
In almost two years, this remarkable pioneering innovator of business has failed to secure any significant interest from any enterprise client out there whilst being in possession of the market leading de facto industry standard application streaming products. This inability to actually produce revenue of any substance via his brainchild products has seen the share price collapse almost 90% down into zero-penny share territory where the division now, incidentally the self proclaimed software powerhouse, either faces insolvency or divestiture after a monstrous sum of money has been wasted and shareholder value completely destroyed.
 
Before Tadpole's acquisition of Stream Theory and rather ironically, their US subsidiary, Endeavors Technology Inc (owner of various relevant patents in their own right) worked incredibly hard to develop a relationship with M$oft, beginning with collaborative work in their laboratories that ultimately resulted in MS certification.  Impressively, they were hosting the streaming of various products to potential Joe public customers wishing to sample before purchase various MS software titles such as Streets & Trips online. Sadly this relationship died an abrupt and unacceptably unexplained death. It would be fair to say the dreams of many shareholders died that day as their aspirations of benefiting from the position Softricity now find themselves in were shattered.
 
It would seem that Mr Westerberg may well have been more interested in his patent collection than actually developing a potentially beneficial partnership with the worlds finest.
 
So, your comments about Mr Westerberg will not come as a surprise to more people than you think, quite possibly about 40k to be more precise.

May not be admired? Thats putting it very mildly. most of the posters on http://in2tadpole.net/cgi-bin/discus/discus.CGI   are positively incandescent.
He hasn't got the funds to back up his claims and the whole world knows it.
It sounds more like a buy-me plea than a threat.

Steig is a complete and utter laughing stock in Britain (well it would be funny if it wasn't so tragic) as is his Guru the great John Dilts who has mentored him in business acumen.  Well John must only be mentoring him in how to rip off shareholders for a fortune and steal other companies revenues through patent calls, cause he certainly hasn't given him ANY sales training that I can see any evidence of.
 
His days are numbered at the next AGM if the shareholder get their way. Steig enjoy the next month cause after that you are history mate!

If the patent claims are worthy and lead to successful damages, a big ask, they are currently the property of Tadpole Technology. With the claims filed, Steig is dispensible, surely, the patent lawyers can do the rest. There are few Steig fans able to support his tenure as his section is in the deepest hole possible all brought about by a lack of focus on sales whilst maintaining realistic overheads.
 
 
 

The patents that both Streamtheory and the merged Endeavors technology have legs and this could be very distruptive to existing better known players. Interesting times me thinks to come.
