Did anyone notice that Citrix has re-branded? Blue and black instead of red and black

I've received several business cards from Citrix folks out here at iForum The App Delivery Expo. I noticed that all of the cards are blue and white and the word "Citrix" is all black instead of the black "Citrix" with the red dots on the i's. Then I noticed that all of the PowerPoint templates were blue and white with the all-black Citrix logo.

I asked some of the Citrix folks about this and they basically said, "Duh! We have new branding. No more red and black. Now it's blue and black."

Did I miss something here? When did this happen? The Citrix people said this happened last April!! A quick check of the Citrix.com homepage right now still shows the old-style red and black logo, so you can see how I wouldn't know.

Either way, it's official. The Citrix logo is pure black now, and the official colors will be black and blue.

(As a funny side note, Citrix sponsored BriForum 2007 Amsterdam a few weeks ago. I wondered why they sent me a logo that was all black. I just thought that the marketing people at Citrix were idiots and sent me a black-and-white logo. It turns out that I'm the idiot.)

You have to look long and hard to find a sample of it. You are correct, it is not on the corporate web site, and I did a search of partners in a 250 mile radius of the DC area. Exactly 1 had the new logo.

I thought the colors at the conference looked great. Feels like Citrix is growing up. The old orange stuff with the gaudy red "access" button made them look like a little startup. The more they start looking like a big company, the easier it will be for me to convince the brass at my company to consider them a major strategic partner beyond PS.

It's actually better if they convert to the blue look as it makes the Brian Madden site look more differentiated. Just my two cents.
