Citrix XenApp integration and reference guide for Citrix Provisioning Server

Citrix officialy released the utility and a reference guide for the installation of Citrix XenApp (former know as Presentation Server) inside a Citrix Provisioning Server for Datacenters (Former known as Ardence) vDisk. It details the steps necessary to install and configure XenApp with a CPVS implementation.

Working together, Application Streaming and Virtualization from CTX and MS

Tim Graf, a Citrix Sr. Product Manager, wrote a nice article about the cooperative effort that the CTX and MS application virtualization solutions work together. "Citrix views application virtualization as a key element of its vision for XenApp as an end-to-end application delivery system and will continue to enhance its own solution to provide the best experience for admins and users. Supporting Microsoft Application Virtualization also makes it easier for customers to fully leverage their XenApp environments and reinforces our commitment to working closely with Microsoft to help customers realize the value in application virtualization" Joseph Nord, a Citrix product architect for Application Streaming, created a nice technical article about the various deployment scenarios and the dual-mode scenario with Citrix and MS Application Virtualization

How to extend the Windows Server 2008 evaluation period?

Microsoft created a nice support article. This knowledge base article discusses the extention of the 60 days evaluation period of Windows Server 2008 to 240 days. This is very usefull for test/dev scenario's where you don't want to activate your WS08 licenses.
