Citrix ICA client feature matrix

Did you know that Citrix has a PDF that lists (in a very detailed way) all of the features of all of their different clients. According to Citrix's Al Grandville, this chart is kept up-to-date, and is always available at www.citrix.com/clientfeaturematrix.

Share your views about how application vendors should license their apps

Most application vendors are clueless when it comes to licensing their applications in today's world of server-based computing, virtualization, streaming, VDI, Ardence, etc. Please share your views on what vendors need to do, and let's write a guide to help them understand our position.

Save the date: BriForum 2008 Chicago will be June 16-18

We've rescheduled BriForum 2008 Chicago so that it doesn't conflict with the MVP conference (or hopefully any conference). Chicago is a busy city, so we didn't have too many choices for dates. We decided for a June date which may give us the bonus of nicer weather in Chicago.

Updated: Whoops! BriForum 2008 Chicago is the same dates as the Microsoft MVP Conference. Now what?

We scheduled BriForum 2008 Chicago for Mon-Wed, April 14-16, 2008 (at the Chicago Navy Pier! Score!) Unfortunately I just learned that the Microsoft Global MVP Summit is from April 14-17, 2008. So now we have a problem.

Is "Profile Management" enough, or is it time for "User Environment Management?"

Companies like AppSense and RES are pushing "user environment" and "user workspace" solutions instead of simple "profile management." Do today's complex multi-technology application delivery environments require third-party tools like these, or can we still get away managing profiles and policies with out-of-the-box and free tools?
