Interwoven WorkSite 8 has a command called addiman.exe to insert itself as a "data file" in Outlook so that its FileSite product will have a node in the Outlook folder list. I have three problems around this.
1. We don't use roaming profiles on the desktops, so that means that any time someone logs into a new machine, they have to initialise FileSite themselves in order to pick up the FileSite node in Outlook. It would be much preferred to have the entire process automatic. We've encountered problems with blindly applying addiman.exe at the beginning of each session. Is there a way to automate this so that the user is always registered to FileSite? Perhaps there's a way to poll the system to find out if FileSite is registered and then run addiman.exe accordingly.
2. On Citrix, something happened that dropped all of the FileSite registrations that were previously established. We've had to go back in and manually reinitialize every user's FileSite. What conditions or actions could possibly knock out all the FileSite connections like that?

FileSite saves the file type registration in C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\FORMS\FRMCACHE.DAT - if you don't use roaming profiles, that file would have to be hardcoded somehow. We have roaming profiles, so that file gets erased after every logoff. because the "local settings" file is not included in roaming profiles. We are searching for a solution.
