When users open one XenApp session (with one CAL license) and left the desk for a while, will the license be automatically released? How license is being expired and released? Can the expiration time be configured?
Thanks a lot.

Hello P-Shan
If a user leaves his or her desktop the session will be idle after a while. You will see the session change from active to idle in the access management console. You can also see Disconnected sessions. All these session will consume a citrix cal.
You can configure the idle / disconnect in different ways.
1 way is by the use of Terminal services and configuration mmc. double click the ica/rdp connector and you can configure there what the server should do with idle and disconnected sessions. This is per server base.
2: you can configure a citrix policy to let it handle the idle and disconnected sessions.
