Currently have deployed 3 Citrix Servers in one Farm , One Zone. Using PS4.0
I am having a continual issue with one server which currently servers MS applications Whenever a user launches an app, it stops on Mapping Network Drives and does not move. Also , if there is anyway to show Logon.cmd whilst executing. I know you can HIDE it via Regedit, but would like to show it to diagnose.
Thanks

Hi,
if you delete the entry "CtxHide.exe" from "AppSSetup" in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon, the execution of usrlogon.cmd will be visible. But by default there is no mapping of network drives in this file.

Hi,
Have a look at these MS KB articles:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/221833/en-us
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/325376/en-us
Once you have enabled user environment debug logging, have a look at the %Systemroot%\Debug\UserMode\Userenv.log file to see if you can pinpoint the problem.
Look also in your event logs for any folder redirection issues or userenv events.
Also, try temporarily disabling any login scripts in GPOs (and on the profile tab of a test user account in AD) and see if the session hanging goes away. If it does, review your login scripts carefully.
Another thing to try - create a CTX policy that disables client side printer and drive mapping, then assign that policy to the problem server only and give it a high priority. If sessions no longer hang, focus on redirector issues.

Often times it's not actually a freeze as much as it is a pause. With CTXhide active if someone inserts a pause statement in the logon script it'll appear to hang during the logon script. If you hit a key it'll progress through. The solution is to remove the pause statements. If it's not related to that, it may be printer mapping issues, etc. as Alan has indicated.
